Global Village, the region’s top destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment, officially opened its 29th season with a spectacular display last night. Thousands of guests were welcomed as dazzling light beams illuminated the iconic Gate of the World, accompanied by golden confetti and streamers in a celebration of global unity.
Guests were treated to a vibrant parade led by AAINJAA, a high-energy drumming group, as they marched through the gates, setting the tone for the season’s theme, “A More Wonderful World.” The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by traditional Emirati performances, including “Laiwa” and “Harbiya,” which greeted visitors at the Cultural Gate and Gate of the World, showcasing the UAE’s rich cultural heritage.
As night fell, the excitement continued with a stunning laser and fire show at Dragon Lake, signaling the start of an incredible season. Global Village offers 30 pavilions for visitors to explore, including new additions representing Iraq, Jordan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Guests can also enjoy over 250 dining options, 200+ rides, games, and attractions, and more than 40,000 entertainment shows scheduled throughout the season.
Open daily from 4:00 PM, Global Village continues to be the region’s leading hub for cultural experiences and entertainment in its 29th season.
