Refill Roastery LLC is preparing to host the highly anticipated Refill Cup Taster Championships 2024, where more than 300 baristas and coffee roasters will converge to showcase their skills. The event, scheduled for 27 October 2024, will be held at the Grand Ballroom of Ayla Hotel in Al Ain, marking a significant moment in the UAE’s specialty coffee industry.
With only 100 participants to be officially selected for the competition, the event will see professionals from across the UAE’s coffee scene battle it out for trophies, cash prizes, and an array of products from event sponsors, including Al Ain Water, Como Lounge Cafe, and Boncafe Middle East.
In an innovative twist, Refill Roastery is the first in the UAE and GCC to introduce Conversational AI technology into a barista competition. This AI integration will streamline event communication, ensuring competitors receive updates seamlessly, a move that reflects the roastery’s dedication to technological advancement in the coffee industry.
Maktoum Alsheraifi, CEO of Refill Roastery, highlighted the importance of this innovation. “AI is transforming the coffee industry by optimizing processes and improving the overall experience for both baristas and customers.
