The United Arab Emirates has emerged as the top-ranking Arab country in the 2024 Global Talent Ranking, placing 17th globally and improving its position by five spots compared to last year. The UAE’s success in this global ranking highlights its continued investments in talent development, innovation, and favorable business environments that attract and retain skilled professionals.
In second place among Arab nations is Kuwait, ranking 31st globally, despite a slight drop of three positions. Saudi Arabia follows closely, coming in at 32nd, having improved its rank by four spots this year, reflecting its ongoing efforts to enhance its talent pool and workforce competitiveness.
Bahrain and Qatar have faced significant declines in the ranking. Bahrain ranks 40th, down by 13 places, while Qatar holds 42nd position, dropping by 12 spots. These changes point to challenges in maintaining talent attractiveness and development in the face of global competition.
Jordan, on the other hand, shows positive momentum, ranking 49th and improving by three positions. This demonstrates its increasing focus on talent development strategies.
The Global Talent Ranking, published by IMD, assesses nations based on their ability to develop, attract, and retain talent, a critical factor in driving economic growth and innovation globally.
