Ajman Police have announced the introduction of a smart monitoring system starting October 1 to catch drivers using mobile phones or failing to wear seatbelts while on the road.
The system will automatically detect violations, with offenders facing a Dh400 fine and four black points on their driving license, as per federal law. The law mandates that all passengers, including those in the back seat, must wear seatbelts. Drivers will be held responsible for any seatbelt violations and face the same penalties.
Ajman Police urged motorists to follow traffic rules to ensure road safety.
