Emirates Airlines, the Dubai-based airline company, has announced the cancellation of multiple flights to and from Hong Kong for two days, citing “severe weather conditions” caused by Super Typhoon SAOLA.
The affected flights include EK380 and EK384 from Dubai to Hong Kong (DXB-HKG) and Bangkok to Hong Kong (BKK-HKG) scheduled for September 1. Return flights EK381 and EK385 from Hong Kong to Dubai (HKG-DXB) and Hong Kong to Bangkok (HKG-BKK) set for September 2 have also been cancelled.
The airline has stated that customers traveling to or connecting through Hong Kong will not be accepted onto flights at their point of origin during this period.
Customers affected by these cancellations are advised to contact their travel agents if their bookings were made through them. Alternatively, those who made direct bookings with Emirates can contact their local Emirates office for rebooking options.
