The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has officially opened Emirates Road ‘E611’, a new major thoroughfare connecting Ras Al Khaimah to Dubai. The announcement was made via X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
The opening of the road coincides with the commencement of the new academic year and aims to ease the movement of school buses, thereby ensuring smoother traffic flow in the region.
The ‘E611’ road is designed not only to alleviate traffic but also to raise the capacity of the road network between Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai. The new road will improve connectivity and communication between urban communities on either side, as well as among the emirates it serves.
This initiative is part of a broader project to enhance the existing intersection in the Al Barashi area. The full project is expected to be completed before the end of this year.
The new road is seen as a significant step in boosting the transportation infrastructure of the UAE, with particular benefits for students, commuters, and businesses alike.
