SB19 expresses gratitude after leading 37th Awit Awards nominations with 12 nods

SB19, the P-pop sensation, is filled with gratitude after receiving the most nominations at the 37th Awit Awards. The group took to Instagram to share their excitement with their loyal fanbase, A’TIN, thanking them for their unwavering support.

“This journey has been nothing short of amazing, and we’re deeply grateful for your unwavering support, A’TIN!” SB19 expressed on their post. They added, “Let’s continue to make history together.”

The five-member group, composed of Pablo, Stell, Ken, Justin, and Josh, received a total of 12 nominations. Their “Pagtatag!” EP was recognized for Album of the Year, while their hit single “GENTO” secured six nominations, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Other nominations for SB19 include Best Performance by a Group, Best Dance/Electronic Recording for both “Gento” and “Crimzone,” and Best Global Collaboration Recording for “Golden Hour (SB19 Remix).” Additionally, they are in the running for Best Ballad Recording with “Liham,” Best Pop Recording with “Gento,” and Best Music Video for both “Gento” and “I Want You.” Their work on “I Want You” also earned a nomination for Best Engineered Recording.

Following closely behind SB19 are BINI and Lola Amour, with seven nominations each, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for their tracks “Pantropiko” and “Raining in Manila,” respectively.

SB19, who debuted in 2018, recently wrapped up their second world tour and is set to release a documentary film about their “Pagtatag!” era on August 28. The group continues to make waves in the P-pop industry with their iconic songs such as “GENTO,” “Mapa,” and “Bazinga.”
