Eldrew Yulo: ‘We don’t care about the money, we want our brother back’

Carlos Yulo’s siblings, Eldrew and Elaiza, have spoken out about their desire for family reconciliation rather than focusing on their brother’s success. In a recent interview with Business Mirror, Eldrew Yulo shared his heartfelt plea, emphasizing that they are more concerned about having Carlos back in their lives than about his accomplishments or financial success.

“Actually, wala po talaga akong pake sa money or kung ano ang nakuha niya…‘Yung love niya sa amin as his family [ang gusto ko],” Eldrew expressed, highlighting the importance of family unity over material gains.

The emotional appeal came as a video circulated on social media where Eldrew voiced his hopes for his brother’s return. Despite their pride in Carlos’s achievements, including being a two-time Olympic gold medalist, Eldrew stressed that what matters most is the family bond. “Hindi namin siya gustong bumalik dahil nagkaroon siya ng money or everything or naging gold medalist [siya]. Wala kaming pake kahit hindi siya maka-gold. Ang gusto lang namin is bumalik siya kahit hindi niya dala ‘yung medal niya,” he added.

Elaiza, their sister, echoed the sentiment, stating that while they are proud of Carlos’s accomplishments, their primary concern is the strained relationship within the family.

The interview also touched on a long-standing rift between Carlos and their mother, Angelica, with Eldrew expressing his hope for reconciliation. He urged Carlos to consider reaching out, even if just to their father or to him personally, to mend the family ties.
