Kapamilya actress Jessy Mendiola did not hold back when responding to a netizen’s derogatory comment about her daughter, Rosie. The remark, which quickly spread online, was posted in the comment section of a Bandera article.
The netizen wrote, “Grabe bakit ganyan ang bata, wala pang 2 years old pero ang eyebags pang 80 years old na.”
Despite her status as a public figure, Jessy felt compelled to defend her daughter. She explained that having prominent eye bags is natural in their family, particularly due to her Lebanese heritage. Jessy expressed disbelief that someone could make such hurtful remarks about a child who is still innocent.
Before making negative comments, Jessy urged people to reflect on themselves. She remarked, “Kalmahan ang panlalait sa bata. I-ayon po natin ang ganda sa panlalait, tignan niyo po muna sarili niyo sa salamin.” In closing, she thanked the netizen but with a hint of sarcasm, implying that everyone should be more responsible with their words, especially on social media.
