Emirates Draw is exploring new gaming opportunities following the UAE’s announcement of The Game LLC as the country’s first licensed lottery operator. In a Khaleej Times report, Emirates Draw praised the UAE government’s efforts in establishing regulated gaming industry standards, highlighting the importance of consumer protection and transparency.
The General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) announced on Sunday that Abu Dhabi-based The Game LLC is currently the sole authorized lottery operator in the UAE, operating under the ‘UAE Lottery’ banner. However, details about the specific games it will offer have not been disclosed.
Emirates Draw, which has awarded over $50 million in prizes to nearly one million players in the past three years, emphasized its ongoing commitment to community initiatives and environmental causes.
Raffle draw operators such as Emirates Draw and Mahzooz halted their UAE operations from January 1, 2024, to comply with GCGRA directives. Both companies had applied for the national lottery license but were not successful. Mahzooz announced plans for “exciting new ventures,” with further details to be revealed soon.
The GCGRA, established last year, regulates, licenses, and supervises all commercial gaming activities and facilities in the UAE. It enforces strict penalties for unlicensed gaming activities, ensuring a well-regulated and fair gaming environment.
