Authorities in the UAE issued an alert on Thursday, cautioning residents against engaging with fraudulent investment entities. The warning comes in response to fake advertisements circulating on social media, which falsely encourage people to invest in “Etihad Airways shares,” as stated by the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA).
Both the SCA and Etihad Airways have advised investors to ignore these “fictitious advertisements” and to seek information only from official sources. The SCA emphasized the importance of verifying the identity of any entity before signing agreements or making financial transactions.
The regulator also noted that details about licensed companies can be easily accessed on the SCA’s official website, providing a reliable resource for residents to ensure the legitimacy of investment opportunities.
