Celebrity couple Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres are beaming with pride as their only child, Juliana, graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines (UP) with a degree in Public Administration.
Juliana, who is also known for her achievements in fencing, expressed her gratitude on Instagram. “Isang karangalan ang maging iskolar-atleta ng bayan,” she wrote. “Maraming salamat sa pagkakataon na ito, UP! Mahal na mahal kita.”
Lucy Torres responded to her daughter’s heartfelt post, saying, “The sight of you last night, all grown up and graduating from UP, made me all weepy. I love you and am endlessly and wonderfully proud of you, my little love. You have worked so hard, but also quietly. As you always do. Shine on. The best is yet to come.”
Richard Gomez shared a reel on Instagram highlighting moments from Juliana’s graduation ceremony, reminiscing about her early school days. “I vividly remember your first day in school as a young child. I drove you to your school near the house, you were in a white shirt and jeans and rubber shoes. Look at you now, all grown up and a college graduate in Public Administration at the UP Diliman, and a cum laude,” he said.
“Congratulations, ‘day! Mom and I are so proud of you,” Gomez added. “Mom was in tears going up the stage. My eyes were in tears, too, when I went back to my seat as things sank into my head and realized how time flies so fast. Go on and make things better and beautiful.”
