Abu Dhabi motorists now have a more efficient way to report minor accidents with the launch of the Saaed Smart application, starting Thursday, August 1. The General Command of Abu Dhabi Police has introduced this app to streamline accident reporting and reduce the burden on the emergency number 999.
Motorists involved in minor accidents are encouraged to use the app instead of calling 999. The app allows users to move their vehicles to a safe location, avoiding traffic obstruction. The police remind residents that stopping in the middle of the road without a valid reason is a traffic violation, carrying a fine of Dh1,000 and six black points.
Through the Saaed Smart app, users can request an accident report directly from the accident site by following these steps:
Open the app and select the accident reporting service.
Enter the phone number so the system can automatically determine the accident location.
Choose the type of accident from the available options.
Upload photos of the car’s ownership, driver’s license, vehicle damage, and damage to the other vehicle.
Verify all information about the parties and vehicles involved in the accident.
Select ‘OK’ to complete the request process.
Once all the details are submitted, users will receive a confirmation of receipt and the issuance of the accident report via smart notifications. This new system aims to provide a quicker, safer, and more convenient way for motorists to handle minor accidents.
