UAE-based publication Khaleej Times has issued an official statement debunking a fake news post that has been circulating on Facebook.
The sponsored post, which falsely associates Khaleej Times’ name, logo, and website URL with a fabricated story about popular vlogger Mo Vlogs, was flagged by the publication as fraudulent and misleading.
In their statement released on their official Facebook page, Khaleej Times clarified that they had no involvement with the creation or distribution of the post.
The post in question featured an image of Mo Vlogs with his eyes edited to appear red and swollen, claiming that the vlogger had experienced a tragic incident due to a live microphone.
“Khaleej Times is in no way associated with this post that has been circulating on Facebook. Our name, logo, and website URL have been used without our consent. We did not publish this story,” the statement read.
