Content creator Zeinab Harake and basketball star Ray Parks Jr. are engaged, as revealed in a vlog posted by the couple on Sunday.
In a heartwarming moment at the beginning of the vlog, Parks sought the blessing of Harake’s children before proposing. The special occasion was attended by family, friends, and Harake’s two children.
“I am truly blessed to call you my best friend, my lover, and my biggest supporter,” Parks expressed during his heartfelt proposal. “I want to continue to build a Christ-centered relationship in which I will lead and serve with the best of my abilities. Your genuine, loving, compassionate heart are the crown of your beauty. You and the kids are my home, and I can’t imagine life without y’all.”
Turning to Harake, Parks continued, “With that, I brought all of our friends, family, and loved ones here today to bear witness and ask you one thing. Zeinab Harake, would you make me the happiest man in the world? Will you marry me?”
Harake, visibly moved, explained her decision to say yes. “I didn’t believe in marriage because of what I’ve been through, but when Ray came into my life, I saw myself settling with him. I see a future with him where he understands me, even in the hardest situations of our lives,” she shared. “I’m taking a leap of faith with our lives, my children’s and mine, because I believe in God, in Ray, and that he deserves my yes.”
The couple recently celebrated their first anniversary in June. Harake is a mother to her daughter Bia, whom she shares with Skusta Clee, and her adopted child, Lucas.
