SB19 captivated audiences with their impeccable rendition of their hit single “GENTO” on the Japanese YouTube channel “First Take” on Monday.
Ken, Justin, Josh, Pablo, and Stell became the first Filipinos to perform on the channel, which is renowned for its unique concept of showcasing artists performing a song in a single take.
The channel has previously featured international stars such as Harry Styles, BTS member V, Avril Lavigne, ITZY, and RIIZE.
Before beginning the song, Pablo ad-libbed, “Itadakimasu!” adding a delightful touch to their performance.
Within an hour of its release, the video garnered over 50,000 views and 7,000 comments on YouTube, demonstrating the group’s widespread popularity.
Since their debut in 2018, SB19 has gained fame with tracks like “MAPA,” “Bazinga,” “What?” and “Go Up.” They recently wrapped up their PAGTATAG! era with consecutive concerts at the Araneta Coliseum last May.
