Dennis Trillo’s talent agency, Aguila Entertainment, announced that the actor’s TikTok account was hacked after controversial comments surfaced under his name. The agency posted a statement on Instagram, revealing the hack occurred around noon on Monday, July 1.
“There were some comments made using his name and we assure everyone that it was not his doing,” stated Aguila Entertainment. They emphasized that it is uncharacteristic of Dennis to make such remarks, describing him as someone with “kindness and respect in his heart.”
The statement was released following backlash from a comment made by Dennis’ account in response to a fan query about his wife, Jennylyn Mercado’s rumored network transfer to ABS-CBN. When asked if the rumors were true, Dennis’ account replied, “May ABS pa ba?” The comment sparked negative reactions online.
Aguila Entertainment assured the public they are addressing the issue to prevent similar incidents in the future. As a precaution, the comments section on all of Dennis’ TikTok posts has been disabled.
Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis’ wife, recently returned to the spotlight with her project “Love. Die. Repeat,” and is working on a new album, marking her 20th anniversary in showbiz. Jennylyn and Dennis are also set to star together in the romantic comedy “Everything About My Wife,” their first film together in 14 years.
Dennis is preparing for a significant role as a villain in the highly anticipated historical drama “Pulang Araw.”
