Late salary? UAE residents can now report labour complaints via video call

Residents in the UAE now have a new way to report labor complaints and reach the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) through video calls. This service, available on Mohre’s smart application, was announced on Wednesday.

The ‘instant video call’ feature allows both employees and employers to inquire about the ministry’s services and receive necessary support. This option complements the existing WhatsApp hotline service at 600590000.

Hussain Al Alili, director of the Customer Relations Department at Mohre, stated, “The new service is designed to meet the needs of all customers, providing them with support, assistance, and prompt response.” The aim is to provide reliable answers to residents’ queries and enhance compliance with labor market regulations.

How the service works
The video call service is available during Mohre’s official working hours:

Monday to Thursday: 7.30 am to 3 pm
Friday: 7.30 am to 12 pm
Additionally, customers can contact the ministry’s call center at 600590000 at any time throughout the week.

To access the video call service, users need to download Mohre’s smart app. On the first screen, tap the ‘Support’ button at the bottom. This will direct users to a list of customer service options, with the last one labeled as ‘Video Call’.

In 2023, Mohre handled over 50 million queries and conversations with customers through its various service channels.
