The UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC) has issued an advisory urging residents to update their Google Chrome browsers to protect against potential security threats. This announcement, made on Thursday, emphasizes the importance of updating to safeguard against vulnerabilities that attackers could exploit.
In a post on X, previously known as Twitter, the CSC highlighted the significance of a new “critical security update” released by Google Chrome. The update aims to fix “multiple high-severity vulnerabilities.”
“Google has released a critical security update for Chrome to address multiple high-severity vulnerabilities,” stated the CSC. “These vulnerabilities could be exploited by attackers to compromise vulnerable systems, potentially leading to data theft, malware installation, or other malicious activities. This update addressed six security fixes.”
