The Miss Earth organization has announced that the first-ever Miss Earth United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be crowned soon. The Middle East license for the prestigious pageant has been granted to the DLK Groups.
Miss Earth is renowned for its unique focus on environmental issues, setting it apart from other major beauty pageants like Miss Universe and Miss World. Contestants are judged on their beauty, environmental awareness, and knowledge. The winner is crowned as an “Ambassador to environmental protection campaigns worldwide.”
As part of the “Big Four” international beauty pageants, Miss Earth, founded in 2001, involves segments showcasing environmental platforms and participation in environmental activities. The titleholder travels globally to promote environmental projects and participate in initiatives like tree planting, clean-up drives, and educational programs.
The current Miss Earth is Drita Ziri from Albania, who was crowned in December 2023.
