The Desi Pak Punjab Restaurant in Abu Dhabi has been ordered to close after failing to meet food safety standards, authorities announced on Friday.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) reported that inspections revealed insects in the food preparation area and generally poor hygiene. Additionally, the restaurant had inadequate ventilation.
Adafsa noted that the restaurant had repeatedly violated food safety regulations. The closure will remain in effect until all identified issues are resolved and compliance with all safety requirements is achieved.
