Diwata sells her iconic pares pot to Boss Toyo for ₱3,000 on ‘Pinoy Pawnstars

In a notable transaction on “Pinoy Pawnstars,” Boss Toyo has acquired the first large cooking pot used by the popular social media personality and pares vendor, Diwata. This pot holds special sentimental value for Diwata, as it was her initial equipment for cooking beef pares during the pandemic, a venture that lifted her out of poverty and catapulted her to fame.

Diwata started selling pares from a cart in 2020. Unfortunately, she was unable to retrieve the cart after it was seized during a clearing operation. Despite the pot having a hole, Diwata mentioned it could still be patched up.

When Boss Toyo inquired about the price, Diwata suggested selling it for the amount she originally purchased it for. Boss Toyo’s first offer was ₱1,500, but Diwata felt this was too low and asked for a higher bid, even offering to include her worn-out sandals for ₱3,500. The final deal was struck at ₱3,000, excluding the sandals. Diwata also signed the lid and body of the pot, adding a personal touch to the memorabilia.
