Saudi Arabia’s King Salman will undergo treatment for lung inflammation, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.
The 88-year-old king experienced a high temperature and joint pain, prompting a medical evaluation at the Royal Clinic in the al-Salam Palace, Jeddah.
Following the diagnosis, his medical team recommended a treatment plan including antibiotics.
King Salman, who ascended to the throne in 2015 and is the custodian of Islam’s holiest sites, was last hospitalized in April.
