Dubai Police has unveiled 150 job vacancies exclusively for national service recruits and reservists at the National Service Career Fair 2024, held from May 13 to 15 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre – EXPO City. This initiative, reported by Gulf News, underscores the force’s dedication to recruiting national talent and enhancing its workforce with well-trained individuals.
During the career fair, Dubai Police showcased an innovative virtual reality (VR) experience at their booth, allowing visitors to simulate different police roles. Major General Dr. Saleh Abdullah Murad, Director of the General Department of Human Resources at Dubai Police, highlighted the significance of this technology in providing recruits with a realistic insight into their future job environments.
Maj. Gen. Murad emphasized, “This VR experience allows recruits to closely examine the work environment, understand our initiatives, and appreciate our efforts to enhance happiness among staff.”
Lt. Col. Hamad Bin Dafous, Director of the Selection and Recruitment Department, noted the multiple awards Dubai Police has received, such as the ‘Great Place to Work’ and ‘Healthy Place to Work’ awards. He explained that the VR system enables recruits to get a comprehensive view of working conditions within the force.
“This immersive experience offers national service recruits a clear and accurate depiction of the work environment, empowering them to pursue their future aspirations confidently,” said Lt. Col. Bin Dafous.
