Expo 2020 Dubai Museum opens with free entry on May 18

Expo 2020 Dubai Museum will officially open its doors to the public with free admission on May 18 to celebrate International Museum Day. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the museum and the city’s three Stories of Nations exhibitions at no cost on opening day and the following day, May 19. Additionally, they can enjoy a 50% discount on several other attractions including Alif, Terra, the Women’s and Vision Pavilions, and Garden in the Sky.

The museum, located in the Opportunity District, showcases the UAE’s initial involvement in World Expos during the 1970s, the planning and building of Expo 2020, and the adaptations made due to the pandemic. Highlights include mixed media exhibits, interactive sections tailored for young guests, and insights into the Expo’s lasting influence.

According to a Khaleej Times report, guided tours are scheduled every 30 minutes and the venue also houses an Expo 2020 memorabilia shop, the Expo 2020 library, and spaces available for meetings. From May 20, entry will be included in the Expo City’s one-day Attractions Pass, priced at AED 120. Tickets to the museum and Stories of Nations can be purchased for Dh50 for adults and Dh40 for children aged 4 to 11, with free entry for children under 3.
