Wynn Resorts, Limited has released images of its newest project, Wynn Al Marjan Island, which is under construction in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. This marks the company’s first beachfront resort, sprawling across nearly 62 hectares on a picturesque island in the Arabian Gulf. Wynn Resorts collaborates with Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding to establish the first integrated gaming resort in the MENA region.
Overseeing the project, Wynn Design and Development consists of a team of over 90 professionals, responsible for the iconic architecture of Wynn’s global resorts. Todd Lenahan, President and Chief Creative Officer, shared, “Historically, the area around Ras Al Khaimah was a beacon for navigation and important trade on the Arabian Gulf. We designed the 300-meter-tall resort tower with Ras Al Khaimah’s historic role as a great navigational sentinel in mind. We hope this becomes a new landmark, a new beacon, for travelers to Ras A Khaimah from across the globe.”
The resort, featuring a 300-meter tower, will offer 1,542 rooms and suites, including 22 luxurious Villa Estates adjacent to a newly designed marina. Guests will enjoy a vast poolscape, 22 dining options, a theater, a shopping esplanade, a five-star spa, and a 7,500-square-meter event center.
Construction began in early 2023 with UAE-based ALEC Engineering and Contracting as the main contractor. The tower is anticipated to reach its full height by the end of 2025, with an opening scheduled for early 2027.
