Imams and religious figures in Dubai awarded golden visa for 20 years of service

In a move to recognize their unwavering commitment and significant contributions to society, Dubai’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has announced that imams of mosques, preachers, muezzins, muftis, and religious researchers who have served for 20 years in Dubai will be granted a Golden Visa.

This gesture of appreciation comes alongside an annual financial reward for Eid al-Fitr, emphasizing Sheikh Hamdan’s dedication to honoring those who tirelessly promote tolerance and compassion inherent in Islam.

This initiative follows a recent directive from Sheikh Hamdan to increase the salaries of imams and muezzins in Dubai, further recognizing their pivotal roles in guiding the faithful and fostering a conducive environment for worship.

The President has also directed the provision of a monthly financial allowance for mosque staff, including imams and muezzins, underlining the government’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality in religious affairs.
