Firefighters swiftly responded to a blaze engulfing a luxury yacht at Dubai Marina on Tuesday, causing thick smoke to blanket the area’s skyscrapers, The National reported.
Crews were observed battling the flames on a vessel docked near the Marina Gate buildings around noon local time.
Fortunately, the blaze seemed to be under control shortly thereafter, with Dubai Civil Defence tenders and pier crews successfully calming the flames. However, the interior and exterior of the yacht sustained significant damage.
Dubai Marina, home to several dozen vessels utilized by both tour companies and private owners, is renowned for its waterfront promenade adorned with some of the region’s most coveted properties.
No casualties have been reported, and investigations into the cause of the fire are underway.
