Big Ticket raffle draw temporarily suspends operations from April 1, citing regulatory compliance

The popular raffle draw, Big Ticket, has announced a temporary pause in its operations starting April 1, in compliance with UAE regulatory gaming requirements. However, the scheduled live draw for series 262 will proceed as planned on April 3, where all prizes, including a guaranteed grand prize of Dh10 million, will be awarded. Additionally, Dream Car draws for Maserati Ghibli and Range Rover Evoque will also take place during this draw.

Big Ticket, known for its monthly draws held at Abu Dhabi International Airport, distributed Dh246,297,071 in prizes last year, with the latest jackpot winner, Mohammad Shereef, sharing Dh15 million with friends.

This pause aligns with a broader industry trend, with Big Ticket being the third major raffle draw operator to halt operations, following Mahzooz and Emirates Draw earlier this year. The directive stems from the UAE Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), established in September last year to ensure a socially responsible gaming environment and manage licensing.

In a statement, Big Ticket expressed gratitude for continued support and assured customers that previously won prizes are secure. While operations are paused, customers can still access their accounts and will receive updates through official channels.

Details regarding the resumption of operations were not disclosed, but customer support remains available for inquiries or assistance.
