Salaries for imams and muezzins in Dubai are set to rise. The decree, issued by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of the emirate, applies to those serving under the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai.
The leadership, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has taken this step to honor the service of imams and muezzins. These individuals play a crucial role in guiding the faithful towards the principles of Islam and fostering a humanitarian spirit within the community. Imams lead prayers and offer spiritual guidance, while muezzins are responsible for calling the faithful to prayer.
