Abu Dhabi authority shuts down supermarket for selling expired items

A supermarket in Al Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi, has been temporarily closed by the authorities for breaching health and safety regulations. SaveWay Supermarket, identified by its commercial license CN-4314510, was found to be in violation due to the presence of expired food products and items without proper labeling on its shelves.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) announced that the supermarket would remain closed until all identified issues are adequately addressed. According to Adafsa, SaveWay Supermarket is required to rectify all violations, meet the necessary activity requirements, and resolve the reasons behind its closure before it can resume operations.

The Authority has made it clear that such administrative closures will persist until the underlying issues are resolved. Establishments may only reopen after all violations are corrected and they comply with all regulatory requirements.
