Traveling to or from the Philippines? eTravel forms now exclusively on eGovPH mobile app

The Philippines’ Electronic Travel Application Form, commonly known as eTravel, has shifted its focus towards mobile users. Instead of allowing travelers to fill out the form via a mobile browser, the website etravel.gov.ph now prompts users to download their newly updated app, eGovPH, available on both the App Store and Google Play.

This change comes as part of the Philippine Government’s continuous efforts to streamline and secure the travel documentation process for visitors entering or exiting the country. The eGovPH app, previously accessible through web browsers, aims to provide a more integrated and user-friendly experience.

The developers behind the app have announced the release of Phase 6 Hotfix 1.2, which brings “crucial refinements to the user interface and optimizations of key features.” These updates are designed to enhance the overall user experience, making it more seamless and visually pleasing for travelers as they comply with the mandatory travel requirements set by the Philippine Government.

It’s essential for travelers to note that the Philippines’ eTravel Application Form must be completed online within 72 hours prior to their entry into or departure from the Philippines. This form, while not a visa, is a mandatory requirement for all international passengers traveling to or from the country. Upon completion, travelers are required to present their eTravel QR Code before boarding their flight or vessel.
