A tragic accident claimed the life of a 73-year-old woman from Comoros Island when a municipality truck reversed over her in the Al Sabka area of Sharjah, according to Sharjah Police. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning at the woman’s residence, Gulf News reported.
Police reported that the woman was standing behind the truck when the driver, unaware of her presence, began to reverse. The driver only realized the mishap after hearing the screams of her family members. Following the accident, she was rushed to Al Qasimi Hospital and pronounced dead at around 11 a.m. in the emergency section.
The Wasit Police Station is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
