A 7-year-old boy tragically lost his life after choking on a gummy ball candy last Monday in Poblacion, San Remigio, Antique. The boy had eagerly requested his mother to buy the candy from a store, unaware of the danger it would pose.
Upon returning home, the boy’s mother was shocked to find him struggling to breathe, having choked on the candy. Despite immediate efforts by family members to rush him to the hospital, where the obstructing candy was removed, the boy unfortunately passed away.
The devastated mother has issued a stern warning to other parents, urging them to be vigilant about the food they give to their children.
Currently, the family is grieving as they prepare for the boy’s funeral at their home. They are also seeking financial assistance to help with the burial expenses.
