678 Filipinos in Al Ain benefit from Philippine Embassy, MWO outreach

A total of 678 Filipinos in Al Ain received crucial support and services from the Philippine Embassy and the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Abu Dhabi during a recent Joint Community Outreach program. Held over two weekends, the initiative provided over 2,728 essential services, including passport processing, document authentication, civil registration, and migrant welfare assistance.

Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Alfonso A. Ver, highlighted the significance of the event, noting the community’s enthusiastic response. “We are glad to return to Al Ain after our last Joint Community Outreach in the area in November 2023. The Filipino community in Al Ain continues to thrive and flourish even further,” he said.

The outreach saw an 800% surge in services compared to the previous outreach in November 2023, where only 350 services were recorded. This growth was attributed to the continued partnership between the Embassy and local Filipino organizations, including FilCom Al Ain and United Filipino Community Al Ain.

Ambassador Ver emphasized the Embassy’s commitment to expanding its reach. “The strong results of the several Outreach activities from Al Dhannah City, Madinat Zayed, and Al Ain – from the Western to the Eastern Regions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi – further strengthen our resolve to step up our efforts,” he said.
