a 65-year-old retired Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) from Pasig City has won the P21.97 million jackpot prize in the Lotto 6/42 draw held on September 21. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) confirmed the win on Saturday.
The lucky Pasigueño, whose identity remains undisclosed, shared that the winning numbers 25-10-14-17-19-42 were selected based on the birthdates of his family members. The winning ticket was purchased from a lotto outlet at SM City East Ortigas.
On October 24, 2023, the winner claimed his prize at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City. A dedicated lotto player since the Lotto 6/42’s inception in 1995, he has remained faithful to this pastime even while working abroad.
The fortunate winner plans to invest in business ventures, support his family members’ education, and strengthen his savings for the future. Interestingly, this isn’t his first win. Five years ago, he won a five-digit prize from the same Lotto 6/42.
