Earlier tonight, a total of 64 Filipinos were sent off from Dubai International Airport under the United Arab Emirates’ amnesty program, marking a significant milestone in their journey back to the Philippines.
The repatriates, part of the UAE government’s initiative allowing undocumented workers to return home or regularize their status without penalties, departed aboard Philippine Airlines (PAL) Flight PR659 bound for Manila.
Officials from the Philippine Embassy in the UAE, the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, and the Migrant Workers Offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai were present at the airport to oversee the send-off. Representatives from PAL were also on hand to ensure the smooth facilitation of the repatriation process.
