Results of a recent OCTA Research survey indicate that approximately 59% of adult Filipinos are satisfied with the governance of the country under the leadership of the Marcos administration. The Tugon ng Masa survey also revealed that 14% of adult Filipinos expressed dissatisfaction, while 24% remained ambivalent about the current administration’s performance.
According to OCTA Research, the performance rating of the current administration varies across major regions, ranging from 53% to 71%. The highest satisfaction rate was recorded in the National Capital Region (NCR) and the Visayas, both at 71%, while the lowest was in Balance Luzon at 53%.
When examining socioeconomic classes, the survey found that the lowest performance rating of the current administration was among adult Filipinos in Class E, with only 40% expressing satisfaction. In contrast, a mere 4% of adult Filipinos in Class ABC expressed dissatisfaction with the administration’s governance.
Across different regions, the performance ratings ranged from 17% to 75%. The highest satisfaction rating was recorded in Central Visayas, followed by NCR (71%), Zamboanga Peninsula (70%), Western Visayas (69%), Eastern Visayas (67%), Ilocos Region (66%), and Northern Mindanao (66%). In contrast, the lowest satisfaction rating was found in the Bicol Region at 17%, while 50% of adult Filipinos in the Davao Region expressed dissatisfaction with the administration’s governance.
The survey, conducted from December 10-14, 2023, utilized face-to-face interviews and included 1,200 male and female respondents aged 18 years and above. The margin of error for this survey is ±3% at a 95% confidence level.
