Residents of Dubai’s Majan and Al Barari communities are now experiencing smoother traffic and fewer delays thanks to recent improvements by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
According to the RTA, travel time to and from these neighborhoods has been reduced by up to 50% following enhancements to entry and exit points leading to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road. The upgrades have also decreased traffic delays on this major highway from 9 minutes to 4.5 minutes.
The authority implemented a reversible lane system to replace the tunnel and introduced a junction with traffic signals at the communities’ entrances. These changes are part of the RTA’s broader efforts to maintain efficient traffic flow amidst Dubai’s growing population and economic development.
