Filipino workers in Saudi Arabia will now have easier access to affordable healthcare after the Migrant Workers Office–OWWA Eastern Region Operations partnered with Dar As Sihha Medical Center to roll out special discounts exclusively for OFWs.
Under the agreement, Filipinos in the Kingdom can present their OFW eCard to enjoy significant reductions in medical costs. The discounts include 50% off on medical consultations, 40% off on laboratory investigations, and 30% off on dermatology, dental, physiotherapy, and radiology services.
OWWA said that even insured patients can benefit from the program, as staff at the medical center will provide assistance for faster approval of covered services.
The discounted medical packages are currently available at Dar As Sihha’s branches in Dammam and Khobar, providing strategic access for the large Filipino community in the Eastern Province.
This initiative comes as Saudi Arabia continues to host the largest population of OFWs worldwide, with over 398,000 Filipino workers deployed in recent periods and more than 725,000 Filipinos residing permanently or semi-permanently in the Kingdom.
