Sharjah Police have initiated an investigation following the tragic death of a five-year-old Nepalese boy who fell from the 20th floor of a residential building in Sharjah on Tuesday.
According to a Gulf News report, the incident, reported to Sharjah Police General Command around 3 pm on Tuesday, prompted a swift response from authorities. A team from Al Gharb police station, along with forensics experts and paramedics, rushed to the scene.
Despite efforts, the boy succumbed to his injuries at the site. Initial investigations suggest possible neglect by adults.
The body has been transferred to Al Qasimi Hospital and then to the forensic laboratory for further examination. Police stated that formalities will be completed before handing over the body to the parents, who will also be questioned in due course.
In light of this tragedy, authorities have urged parents to ensure constant supervision of their children and cautioned against placing movable items near windows or on balconies.
