Pinas Cargo has launched the 4th season of its Dakilang Manggagawang Pilipino (DMP) awards, aimed at honoring ordinary Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the UAE. The initiative, conceived by Pinas Cargo CEO Marlyn Castro and HR and Marketing Manager Rumelyn Aribon, highlights the extraordinary contributions of Filipino workers.
The DMP awards are based on four core criteria: Dakila sa Pamilya (Noble in Family), Dakila sa Trabaho (Noble in Work), Dakila sa Komunidad (Noble in Community), and Dakila sa Spiritual (Noble in Spiritual Life). The award process spans three months, divided into four stages:
- Nomination – Recognizing potential honorees, July 1 – August 10
- Elimination – Narrowing down the candidates to the top 20, August 11
- Deliberation – Thorough evaluation of the finalists to select the top 10, August 18
- Online Voting – Public voting to determine the winners, August 19 – September 15
The DMP awards aim to inspire and uplift the Filipino community by celebrating the hard work and dedication of ordinary OFWs, showcasing true heroism in everyday acts of service and devotion.
