3,000 Filipinos to be hired in Croatia’s hotel industry with over P60,000 monthly salary

More than 3,000 job opportunities are now open for Filipinos in Croatia’s hospitality sector, with salaries starting at over €1,000 (approximately P60,000), according to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

According to a 24 Oras report, the European country is looking for housekeepers, front desk staff, and other hotel workers, and recruitment will be handled through a government-to-government arrangement between the Philippines and Croatia. This means no placement fees will be required from applicants, as the DMW will facilitate the hiring process.

“They need workers by late April or May, just in time for the summer season,” said DMW Undersecretary for Policy and International Cooperation Patricia Yvonne Caunan.

Meanwhile, another agreement between the Philippines and Slovenia is set to be finalized soon, allowing Filipino caregivers to work in the country with monthly salaries ranging from €1,500 to €2,500. The DMW assures that additional training will be provided to caregiver applicants in the Philippines to help prepare them for employment abroad.

DMW Secretary Hans Cacdac also warned job seekers against fraudulent online job offers and illegal recruiters, urging them to verify job postings through official government channels.
