Thousands of Taylor Swift fans have enjoyed free concert views from Munich’s Olympic Hill, or Olympiaberg, over the weekend. The hill, one of the highest points in the city, offered a prime vantage point for Swift’s sold-out concerts at the nearby Olympic Stadium.
For two consecutive days, fans gathered on the grassy hill, enduring the heat which reached 31 Celsius (88 Fahrenheit) on Saturday. Police estimated around 25,000 people packed the hill that day, claiming their spots hours before the concert began.
On Sunday, the scene repeated as fans returned, creating a bustling crowd reminiscent of an anthill from afar. In a supportive move, concert organizers distributed water and emergency blankets to those waiting under the sun.
Sunday’s concert marked Swift’s final performance in Germany for her Eras tour. She will next perform in Warsaw, Poland, with three shows scheduled from Thursday through Saturday.
