A 25-year-old man was brutally hacked to death by his stepfather in Barangay Inagawan Sub, Puerto Princesa, Palawan on Christmas Day.
The tragic event unfolded in the early hours of Monday when the victim attempted to pacify a dispute between his uncle and the suspect.
According to a report by Super Radyo Palawan’s Kenneth Calumris, the altercation took place around 1 a.m. The situation escalated when the stepfather, after the argument, retreated to his room, emerged with a bolo, and violently attacked the victim. The young man suffered multiple severe wounds across his body as a result of the assault.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries. The stepfather, responsible for the attack, fled the scene and is currently at large.
