The much-anticipated ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon is slated to make its return for its fifth edition on December 16, according to race organisers. Participants will embark on a 42.195 km journey past notable landmarks including the Crown Prince Court, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Al Bateen Palace, Qasr Al Hosn, and the World Trade Centre.
The marathon is a collaboration between the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). The race will commence in front of ADNOC’s main headquarters on Corniche Road, drawing an estimated 23,000 runners.
After a scenic tour of Abu Dhabi’s iconic sites, participants will cross the finish line at the ADNOC Campus located adjacent to Baynunah Public Park. To enrich the marathon experience, a vibrant race village will be established at the finishing point, offering various amenities for runners and spectators alike. The event boasts a prize pool of $303,000.
In addition to the main event, the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon Village will be operational from December 12 to December 15. This pre-race hub promises a mix of food trucks, entertainment, and shopping. Moreover, runners can conveniently collect their Race Packs from the Village in preparation for the race day.
