Dubai witnessed a heart-wrenching incident as a 13-year-old Indian student passed away on Friday afternoon. The tragedy occurred following a sudden medical emergency at his home earlier in the week.
The young boy, a Grade 8 student, was at his residence on Wednesday when he unexpectedly collapsed, according to Naseer Vatanappally, a social worker. The teenager was immediately rushed to a local hospital for urgent medical care. Despite the prompt response, the situation turned grave when doctors diagnosed him with a brain haemorrhage. He was placed on a ventilator, but unfortunately, his condition did not improve, leading to his untimely demise.
Described as an active and sociable young boy, the student was known for his participation in sports and extracurricular activities, including football and karate. Naseer Vatanappally, speaking to Khaleej Times, recalled the student’s vibrant personality and his popularity among his peers at school. “The family said that he used to play football and learnt karate,” he noted. “He was very social and had a lot of friends in school.”
The loss has deeply affected the family, leaving them in a state of profound grief. Naseer expressed his condolences and hoped for the family’s strength during this challenging period. “His family is distraught. I pray that they have the strength to get through this difficult time,” he said.
The boy is survived by his parents and a younger sister. As per the last reports, arrangements are being made to transport the boy’s body to the family’s hometown in Kerala, a southern state in India, for the final rites.
