12 expats arrested in Saudi Arabia for alleged prostitution in Najran

Twelve foreign residents — five men and seven women — were arrested in Najran, Saudi Arabia, for allegedly operating a prostitution ring from a residential apartment, authorities confirmed.

According to Al Riyadh newspaper, the arrests were carried out by the Special Tasks and Duties Force of the Najran Police, in coordination with the General Directorate of Community Security and the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit.

The Ministry of Interior stated that the operation was part of the Kingdom’s broader campaign to enforce public morality laws and tackle human trafficking. All suspects are currently in custody as legal proceedings move forward. The case has been handed over to the Public Prosecution.

Officials have not released further information about the suspects, including their nationalities, nor have they detailed the circumstances of the alleged offenses.
